$200K Worth Watch Developed by Michael Schumacher
Apart from his racing career Michael Schumacher will be leaving another legacy through a luxury watch.
Before Michael had an accident in 2013 which nearly cost him his life, he teamed up with Audemar’s Piguet, a luxury timepiece maker, to create the limited edition Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Laptimer. Michael Schumacher himself requested a unique function to be included in the watch.
According to the watchmaker, it was in 2010 when Michael asked the company to create a mechanical watch that has the capacity to concurrently time two events. Audemars Piguet said that this feature is going to be the first in the watch industry. He also added that they have been working on this complicated feature since 2010. This watch will be made very special that the production will only be limited to 221 units and will be sold at US$229,500 each piece.
